inkling: noun
a slight suspicion; a hint. ORIGIN - from the rare verb inkle 'utter
in an undertone'.
I
had a small idea and captured it with ink. So an inklet was born. Then the inklet
had siblings and they became known as inklings and all lived on dusty old paper
sheets, tucked away in a dreary drawer. Little pages of various verses, odd
odes and random rhymes along with some researched stuff and fairy tales for
grown-ups and other such gullible creatures. But then they managed to escape
to the land of HTML and now the inkling family live on here, in their own world,
without the need for paper. Isn't technology a marvellous thing - liberated
inklings - whatever next!
