Here's a pic of the man with the steel grey-blue eyes. The photo was taken on
the 28th September 1962 when he was taking part in film-making.
A time lapse film was made
for a four minute train journey from London to Brighton and he was the driver
of the train. The film was used some years later to accompany the Beach Boys'
"Good Vibrations" and was shown on Top of The Pops several times.
Seeing my own Pappa on the television ... let alone in such a upmarket programme
(as it seemed at the time) certainly had a lasting impression on me. Oh to be
so young and impressionable again!
